PRODUCTION TECHNIQUES: Ceramic kettle making
The classroom project requires exact replication of the kettle model provided through slip casting.
The measurements are calculated such that the shrinkage of clay used is nullified.
Initially the positives are made on plaster wheel and then respective negatives are obtained which are finished, dried ,slip casting is done and glazed.
